My name is Kurt and I’m Joe Biden’s National Organizing Director. You haven’t heard from me before and that’s because I’ve been hard at work getting Vice President Biden on the ballot in primary elections across the country.
A lot of folks we talk to don’t realize it, but just declaring your candidacy doesn’t actually get you on the ballot in every primary. In many states, we have to send staff and volunteers out to collect signatures to qualify Joe for that state’s ballot.
To help us get on the ballot everywhere, we recently set a goal to raise $2 million before Joe takes the debate stage in Atlanta. According to our finance team, we’re now just $400,000 away from reaching it!
Hitting this goal will ensure that we have the resources to send our staffers and volunteers to key states where we need to get more signatures to get Joe’s name on the ballot.
