Now, let me get right into it. Thanks to the tremendous support and commitment from this grassroots team, we have made significant headway into closing the fundraising lead that Donald Trump had built by the early months of 2020.

That’s right. We’ve made a dent of over $100 million into Donald Trump’s cash-on-hand lead.
And here’s the thing: I know those numbers sound crazy big and it’s hard to put them in perspective. Because yes, we now have a lot of money to spend on winning this, and yes, despite that, Trump still has more.
But what these numbers tell me is that we have momentum that builds each month, and that if we closed a $100 million gap last month, we can close a $53 million gap this month.
And having as much money, and eventually, more money than Donald Trump means we can beat him on the airwaves in battleground states. It means we can talk to more voters in battleground states than he can. It means we can win more battleground states than he can.
And this is all a powerful testament to the strength of this grassroots team. Over 97% of our campaign’s funding comes from grassroots donors, and our average contribution in June was just $32.47.
But, as you can see, there’s still more work to do. And if we can fully close this gap, we will have the resources to reach more voters over the next few months than Trump’s campaign can, meaning a better shot at victory in November.
