Here's what you need to know:   | Breaking: Democratic Committees, Leaders Schumer and Jeffries File Lawsuit to Block Trump's Illegal Voter Suppression Executive Order Emily, I'm Andie, the DNC's General Counsel — which means it's my job to oversee all legal issues related to the Party's work. This means that in addition to helping elect Democrats up and down the ballot, I'm in charge of holding Republicans accountable to the Constitution. Trump recently signed an executive order that attempts to suppress voters, upend voter registration systems, stop states from counting eligible mail ballots, and withhold federal funding from dozens of states in the process. Democrats have one message for him: We'll see you in court. The DNC, along with other Democratic committees and key Democratic leaders, has filed a lawsuit against President Trump, DOGE, and other departments within the Trump administration to block Trump's unconstitutional order. Trump's order not only violates multiple federal laws but also attacks the right to vote by mail and makes it harder for married women who have changed their names and military members to have their votes count. The order also allows DOGE to access sensitive personal information and makes it harder for states to run their own free and fair elections. It's anti-American, and Democrats are using every tool at our disposal — including taking Trump to court — to stop this power-grab that undermines our democracy.
