You deserve an explanation…

In just a moment, I am going to ask you to make a contribution directly to the Democratic National Committee. Please give me a chance to explain why this request — especially today — is so important for everyone who cares about the future of this country.

Here's the truth:

In just a few days, the DNC closes the books on a very important FEC fundraising deadline. When it ends, they are legally required to report what they've raised and how many donations they've received will eventually be public as well.

And here's why that matters:

Right now, you've got a whole lot of Republicans who are on the fence about what Trump is doing with regards to tax cuts for the rich, cutting services for the poor, and the tariffs that are wreaking havoc on our economy. And those issues are just the start.

And when these FEC reports are filed, Republican party leaders be looking at what the DNC raises and consider making some critical decisions about whether or not they'll be held accountable for supporting Trump and his agenda.

If the DNC can file a big report — especially one with lots of donations - they'll see Americans are fired up and ready to fight with the Democrats. Republicans will have to consider the spending the party can do to defeat them.

So yes, the money is important. It will be used to organize and stop Trump's agenda while electing Democrats everywhere. But the report the DNC files is critical as well. That is why I am asking, humbly:
