It's January 17, 2025. We're two weeks into one of the most important months Democrats will face this year — and the collective response of supporters like you will help determine the outcome.

A new Congress has begun. Soon, Donald Trump will be sworn in as our next president.

If history is any guide, Trump and his allies will spend their first few weeks in office pushing disastrous policy after disastrous policy. They already plan to hike prices and rip away health care from millions of people.

Now, Trump and the Republican Party would love nothing more than to see that Democrats are exhausted and ready to throw in the towel. They're counting on all of us giving up.

We can't do that.

That's why it's critical we start the year on a strong footing. We need to build as many resources as we can to prepare for anything coming our way and scale up our work to elect Democrats in pivotal races this year, next year, and beyond.

That is what Republicans do when they have control, and we don't have to look too far in the past to see the last time they tried.

So it has never been more important that we have a strong Democratic Party able to stop them to protect the American people — including those who voted for Republicans in the last election. And we have elections to win, as well. Both require a strong team to get it done.
