And it failed, all because Donald Trump says it should. Trump spent the last 24 hours calling around, pressuring his MAGA lackeys to kill this bill. It's all because he thinks solving this problem helps the President, and doing nothing hurts him. He's betting the American people won't see through it. He's betting that you're too complacent to do anything about it.
