Two years ago on this day, congressional Republicans tried to pass a "skinny repeal" of Obamacare. | | | | | Two years ago on this day, congressional Republicans tried to pass a “skinny repeal” of Obamacare. But there was nothing “skinny” about it. If they succeeded, 16 million fewer people would have health insurance in 2026. It was part of over 70 attempts they have made to repeal the Affordable Care Act.
But even though congressional Republicans’ attempts have failed, Obamacare is still in danger while Donald Trump is president.
Trump has made it clear that he will leave no stone unturned in his effort to destroy Obamacare and rip health insurance from millions of Americans. He’s already started to try to dismantle the law using his executive authority. We have to stop him.
That’s why we need to elect a champion for health care who will protect the ACA and build off of it -- will you rush a donation now to protect Obamacare and elect Joe Biden?
