The U.S. Postal Service is an important part of American life. It’s America’s most popular federal government agency. But Donald Trump is trying to destroy it!
His administration has recommended rolling back protections for postal services workers and privatizing the USPS. Soon a group primarily made up of Trump appointees will pick the new Postmaster General, and Trump’s plans to restructure the postal service could quickly accelerate.
Look, we can’t let that happen. The Postal Service is too important. If you’re with us, will you sign your name to support the Postal Service? Privatization could wreak havoc on our way of life. The Postal Service handles billions of pieces of mail a year.
On top of that, it could mean job loss and wage cuts for America’s postal workers. It could mean cutting services to rural areas and shutting down postal offices in vulnerable communities. It also could mean slashing delivery from 6 to 5 days a week.
