  | Emily, Sen. Cory Booker, Rep. Greg Stanton, my wife Gabby Giffords, and I held a town hall yesterday in Arizona's 6th District, and we heard from a lot of scared, frustrated people. They're scared because Elon Musk and Donald Trump are tanking the stock market and our economy. They're worried because Republicans have made it clear that they're trying to cut hundreds of billions of dollars from Medicaid. In Arizona, that could mean hundreds of thousands or even millions of people lose access to health care. People are frustrated because too many of their Republican representatives won't even show up to listen to them. That's why we held yesterday's town hall — because everyone deserves to be heard, no matter who they cast a ballot for in November. I'm showing up to town halls because I want to hear directly from my constituents. And I think Republicans in Congress should have to hear from theirs, too. But if they won't show up to a town hall like this, then we have to be so loud they can't ignore us.
