After every mass shooting, we say “this can’t happen again.” But then it happens, and we start the cycle anew. Just last night, four people were killed and many more were injured at the hands of an act of gun violence in Kansas City. Many more were likely killed or injured in gun violence all across the country that didn’t make national headlines.
It’s unacceptable that we fear sending our children to school, worried it’s the last time we might say goodbye.
We need to take action. We need to elect a President who knows how to defeat the NRA once and for all. I’ve passed an assault weapons ban.
