It's getting close to the end of the month, which means our next end-of-quarter deadline is approaching fast.
In a minute, I'm going to ask for your support to help us reach our goal, but first, I hope you'll give me a chance to explain why goals like these matter — especially right now. This is a longer message, but this is important, and I hope you'll read it all the way through.
Here's the deal: As Democrats, we're going to fight for everyone, no matter where you're from, no matter where you live, no matter who you love, no matter who you are.
I firmly believe everyone in this country deserves an opportunity to get ahead. To build a better life for their family. To actually climb the economic ladder, achieve the American dream, and pass something better off to their families. And that's what we're focused on as a Democratic Party.
But the only way we'll bring our vision for this country to life is if we have the resources to elect Democrats at all levels of government. We have to win elections, win states, and build majorities. That's where our quarterly fundraising goals come in.
Hitting our end-of-quarter goal will help us ensure the DNC has the funds we need to support Democrats across the country.
And when we meet our goal, we can continue to support our candidates, organizers, and volunteers — and continue to expand our efforts to reach the voters who need to hear Democrats' message the most.
I've always said that Democrats need to show up everywhere. We need to show voters exactly what we stand for – in blue states, red states, and purple states.
Americans need to see Democrats fighting every single day as Trump and his allies try to dismantle democracy — gutting voting rights, redrawing congressional maps, threatening to end vote-by-mail, and even threatening to jail political opponents.
The best way to gain ground is by building ourselves up brick by brick. That's why we announced an initial seven-figure investment in Virginia and New Jersey ahead of their elections this fall. It's why we've launched new ads in red districts to hold cowardly Republicans accountable and tell voters to call their representatives to tell them to do their job and put the needs of working-class Americans first. This is the kind of work that grassroots donations fund.
If you're on the fence about getting involved right now, I'll leave you with this:
We need you. We need you now more than ever. I need each of you to roll up your sleeves. If you don't belong to the party yet in your community, join your local county committee or your state party. Volunteer, get out there, and start talking to voters right now. There is too much on the line for any of us to shrink away from this fight.
There are millions of us who won't stand idly by and let Trump and his allies do whatever they want. What kind of future can we build when we all stand together? If protecting our democracy is worth $3 to you, that's the contribution I'm asking you to make to the DNC before our end-of-quarter fundraising deadline.
