It's important, so we hope you'll stick around. Donald Trump won the presidential election in November, but that doesn't mean our hard work was in vain. It might not feel like it, but all of our contributions — whether it was knocking on doors, making phone calls, or chipping in $5 — made a big difference. Republicans have an extremely slim House majority, and Democrats won battleground neck-and-neck Senate races because of the work we did together. That's an important lesson. We're already seeing the consequences of November's election as Trump's Project 2025 agenda comes to life — but we're also seeing how important it is that we have as many Democrats as possible in offices up and down the ballot, willing to fight back and protect the people they serve. Now, we need to elect more of them. That work starts now. We need to organize early, invest in races across the country, and build the strongest possible Democratic Party to take on Trump and the GOP in 2026 and beyond. But we can't do it without your help. The job of a leader is not to sing a lullaby and soothe supporters into a sense of complacency that everything is just fine or that it will eventually be alright. It is to tell the truth.

Over the past few weeks, I have received a lot of emails, calls and outreach on social media from people who are deeply upset, confused and angry about what is happening in Washington, D.C. and are wondering what we should be doing in this moment. And my answer to myself, and to everyone, is to be a part of the solution in the way it works best for you. We all have a role to play — big or small. For some, it is volunteering either on a political campaign or with a local organization helping those in need. It could be to donate, to run for office, to stay in touch with your local legislators, to build community online and offline... This is not a time any of us can afford to throw our hands up. It's time to roll-up our sleeves. And one suggestion for those who can — for something you can do today, right now, at this moment — is to donate to the Democratic National Committee.
