These races are not just about electing governors — they're about protecting the rights of all New Jerseyans and Virginians and setting the tone for the 2026 midterms. But winning them both is not going to be easy.

In New Jersey, the latest polls show Democrat Mikie Sherrill in the lead — but only by a small margin. With many voters still undecided and time running out to reach all of them, it's going to take all hands on deck to make sure Democrats' message is resonating with as many New Jersey voters as possible.

In Virginia, Republicans are pulling out all the stops to defeat Democrat Abigail Spanberger. They're working around the clock to fund her opponent, with national Republicans recently spending another $500,000 to boost Spanberger's opponent.

The truth is, these elections are going to be close. That's why the DNC has invested over $1 million in both of these states to help Democrats register voters, train volunteers, knock doors, and win up and down the ticket.
