My name is Arthur Thompson, and I am the Chief Technology Officer here at the DNC.

I hope today you'll give me just a few minutes to explain the work my team does, why it's so important, and why I think it's pretty cool, too.

As an enduring entity working year-round in the Democratic ecosystem, our tech team is uniquely positioned to provide data for campaigns, maintain infrastructure, and offer guidance and support centrally to all Democratic state parties, campaigns, and other committees, saving them massive amounts of time and money.

We are the only organization positioned to provide data and technologies to Democratic candidates, up and down the ballot and across the country. And our goal is to make sure candidates running for offices like school board have the same quality tools as those running for Congress, or even the White House.

So when you give to the DNC, you help support candidates from local school boards to Congress, providing them the resources they need to fine-tune their canvassing operations and identify the voters they need to reach to win.

re: Election Day 2025

Election Day 2025 is officially under a month away. Take a look at our calendar:

Here's what's at stake:

In Virginia, we have a chance to flip the governor's office blue. This is our only opportunity to flip a governorship this year, and our chance to elect a Democratic trifecta that will check Trump's power in the state.

In New Jersey, we have another crucial governor's race, which looks like it could come down to a few thousand votes. Just like in Virginia, winning this seat and electing Democrats up and down the ballot will secure the first line of defense against Trump and his allies on a statewide level.

In California, passing Proposition 50 — the Election Rigging Response Act — would counter Trump's plan to steal more congressional seats. If this legislation doesn't pass, we could be facing another two years of Trump with no guardrails from Congress.

In Pennsylvania, voters will decide whether to retain state Supreme Court justices who will continue to make decisions on critical issues — like abortion funding and voting rights — that will protect Pennsylvanians from Trump's disastrous agenda.

The outcome of this year's elections will have a meaningful impact on millions across the country. This is also our chance to send a powerful message to Trump and his allies: Democrats are fighting back — everywhere, at every level.

The DNC is the organization best positioned to distribute resources where they're needed in this final stretch before Election Day. We're investing heavily in these states to support Democrats' on-the-ground organizing efforts, reach voters, and ensure that folks are informed and prepared to make their voices heard at the ballot box.
