| Joe Biden has more than enough aviators. So, this holiday season, I want to send him something a little different — and I need your help to do it.
I've worked with VP Biden long enough to know what truly matters to him is treating others with dignity and respect.
And so, to honor that spirit and celebrate all our great work together this year, I want this whole team, especially folks like you in Virginia, to sign this holiday card for the VP and Dr. Biden >>
Together, we accomplished so much over the past 12 months — 81 candidates we endorsed won their races. And that success was driven by people like you. Every endorsed candidate, every exceptional leader, started with a recommendation from a supporter — someone like Rochelle in Pennsylvania and Steve in Illinois and Jaime in Arizona.
So I just want to celebrate a great 2018, acknowledge the promise of what we can accomplish together in the months to come — and while we're at it, take a moment to do something nice for the Bidens.
All I need is a few minutes of your time and a couple of clicks!
Here's the link to sign: https://go.americanpossibilities.org/sign-the-card
Thanks for standing with us this year!
Merry Christmas and happy holidays,
Greg Schultz Executive Director American Possibilities | | |

| Folks,
We now know enough about the results of this election to begin to learn a little bit from it. And as far as I'm concerned, there are three big lessons that we all need to appreciate.
But it's worth taking a moment to remind ourselves what really happened. In the House of Representatives, we won 60 million total votes (the most in any midterm ever) and likely picked up 40 seats (the most for Democrats since Watergate). We flipped governor's mansions and legislative chambers. Because of our work, we are going to expand Medicaid in five states.
And this team played a direct and consequential role. We endorsed 133 candidates and won 81 races.
Three big lessons:
Lesson one. The first and most important lesson we should internalize is that we can accomplish big, important things if we stick together. Now the real work begins. Will you chip in $3 and keep our momentum going into a new year — where there will be more races to win and fights we need to have?
Lesson two. If we want to create our best chance to win future elections, we need to compete in every corner of the map. Come January, when that new Congress gets sworn in, 31 different lawmakers will represent districts that President Trump carried two years ago. We simply wouldn't be in a position to take back power if we hadn't taken the fight to every part of the country and shown the courage to compete on rough terrain.
Lesson three. We have to stay focused. The President spent the final weeks of the campaign trying to make the election about a caravan of desperate families who were slowly making their way to our border to begin the legal process of applying for asylum. The news media gave the issue wall-to-wall coverage. But our candidates didn't blink. They stayed focused on the issue that ultimately defined this election — health care — and voters rewarded them for it.
Folks, if we can do these three things — stick together, fight everywhere, and stay focused — I'm convinced we can build on the success of the 2018 election in the months to come. We can build a real governing majority that is able to deliver meaningful progress on the things we value. We can tackle the challenges ahead of us — climate change, inequality, and the corrosion of our nation's democratic institutions.
But not if we let up now. Impressive as last month's victory was, we can't allow ourselves to feel satisfied or complacent.
So let's keep moving, folks. Donate $3 right now:

Thanks, Joe | | |

| This week, as families gather together to give thanks for their blessings and loved ones, there's a group of folks who wake up every morning, put on a helmet, get on the back of a truck or ambulance, and go to work saving lives.
For our emergency responders, this isn't just a job — it's a sacred duty to their fellow citizens.
And as the California fires rage on, firefighters are among those who have lost their homes.
Today, as we enjoy the warmth of our homes and the presence of our loved ones, we have the opportunity to help these heroes get back on their feet.
Let's rise to the occasion. This Thanksgiving, join me in giving what you're able to the International Association of Fire Fighters Foundation to support firefighters who have lost their own homes while fighting the California wildfires:
https://go.americanpossibilities.org/CA-wildfires
Integrity is measured by whether you respond to the needs of your neighbors when you know you can help. Our firefighters know that better than anyone.
We owe them.
Happy Thanksgiving, folks.

| Folks—
Last Tuesday, we took a big step forward in reclaiming our American ideals.
There are still votes being counted (and runoffs being scheduled) all over the country, but here's what we know:
Democrats took control of the House of Representatives. And don't let anyone diminish the significance of that achievement. It was the biggest loss for Republicans in the lower chamber since Watergate. Our party just gained the ability to do a whole world of good for the country.
In the states, we flipped seven chambers and won back more than 370 legislative seats. We picked up seven new governors and protected every Democratic incumbent. Because of last Tuesday, we are going to expand Medicaid in five states.
And this team had a huge hand to play in these victories.
Together, we endorsed a slate of 133 candidates. More than half of those endorsements were women. A quarter were people of color. Almost half of those candidates were under 50 years of age, including 29-year-old Abby Finkenauer from Iowa (nominated by John in Poweshiek) — who just became one of the youngest women ever elected to Congress.
Through the course of the campaign, I traveled to 24 states in support of 65 of our candidates. In the final six days, I visited 13 different cities — helping to turn out the vote. And because of your support, we were able to make a direct investment in these races — altogether, we contributed more than $600,000 to candidates this cycle.
All that effort paid off — and helped some exceptional leaders win tough races. - In Nevada, Jacky Rosen (nominated by Megan in Clark County) outworked, outraised, and knocked off Sen. Dean Heller. She ran such a strong campaign that her victory helped Democrats retake the governor's mansion and pass a ballot measure that requires the state to use 50 percent renewable energy by the year 2030.
- In New Jersey, Andy Kim (nominated by Kate in Medford), a dedicated public servant and national security expert, has declared victory against Tom MacArthur — the Republican House member who crafted the amendment that made the House vote to repeal the Affordable Care Act possible. And Mikie Sherrill (nominated by Connie in Montclair), a former Navy helicopter pilot and federal prosecutor, captured a Congressional seat the Republicans had held for more than 30 years.
- In Michigan, Gretchen Whitmer (nominated by Julie in Dowling) is going to be the next governor. She kicked off a "Fix the Damn Roads" bus tour, visited all 83 counties in the state, put clean water for Flint, support for labor, and women's reproductive rights at the center of her campaign, and won her race by more than 10 points.
- In New York, Antonio Delgado (nominated by Adam in Beacon), an attorney and a former Rhodes scholar, withstood some of the most despicable negative advertising I've ever seen in a campaign to knock off a Congressman John Faso in a district that President Trump carried by 6.8 points two years ago.
- And in Wisconsin, Tony Evers (nominated by Jesse in Milwaukee) defeated Gov. Scott Walker. After watching Walker put public education on the chopping block for eight years, it seems all too fitting that he was finally knocked off by a lifelong educator — a former teacher and principal, and the current superintendent of public instruction.
At the beginning of the year, we made a pledge to each other — to do everything we could to help a new generation of Democratic leaders get elected all over the country. And over the past week, it's been amazing to see the results of that promise take focus.
So, I just want to take a moment to say thank you. We literally couldn't have done this without you.
—Joe

| Hi there,
My name is Alice. I'm a retired middle school guidance counselor and a grandmother of six from Kent, Ohio. Two weeks ago, my son and I met Joe Biden.
It happened to be my birthday, and he brought me flowers and a handwritten card. He was so gracious. A real class act. And taller in person than I'd imagined! But believe it or not, I'm actually not writing you to tell you what Joe Biden is like.
I'm writing to ask you to join me in taking the action that helped lead me to meeting Joe Biden in the first place — giving what you can to support a new class of leaders for this country. (Because if you're anything like me, you maybe don't feel like many of our current "leaders" actually represent what America stands for.)
I'm 81 years old. My very first vote was for John F. Kennedy. And I've got to tell you — I can't remember a time when we were so divided politically that our representatives couldn't reach across the aisle and work together.
But that's where we are right now.
The current president will tell you it's all because of the media — but I've heard the things that come out of his mouth. The way he's made fun of people. The mean-spirited politics he contributes to. I've seen how it's rippled all across the country, and through our Congress.
And I don't think that's what America is all about. We stand up to bullies — we don't vote for them.
So today, I'm asking you to join me in giving what you can to help get our country back on track. It can be a lot or a little. But every dollar will go toward electing new American leaders with courage and conviction — right up until November 6 and beyond:
https://go.americanpossibilities.org/join-me
You might think we can do better than our current representatives. And I think you're right.
Let's make it happen together.
Thanks for listening,

| Folks—
America is a country of possibilities.
And if there's one thing I know — it's that when we work together, we can do anything.
We can overcome our division. We can reclaim common decency and goodness in our politics. We can take back our country.
But it starts with each of us making a choice.
To get up and vote, and take it a step further by volunteering for candidates with character.
So I'm asking: Find a volunteer opportunity near you right now and take the outcome of this election into your own hands.
Folks, my mom used to say, "Character is made up of 1000 little things, not one big thing."
From the way we interact with people, to how we treat people, or hold the door open for someone, or thank the guy who cleaned the sewer during the storm to make sure our basement didn't flood ... The little things really add up.
And if thousands of us come together, and rise to this occasion as the best version of ourselves, I have no doubt that America's brightest days are ahead of us.
That we'll be worthy of being called the shining city on the hill.
Let's see this election through together, folks. Sign up to volunteer right now.
Thanks for doing your part to take our country back.
Let's do this,

| Folks—
The election is right around the corner, which means this is one of the final chances I have to make a personal request to you directly. So I'll get right to it.
Will you chip in $3 before midnight to help us put a great set of candidates over the top in races across the country?
Folks, when I wake up next Wednesday morning, I want to be able to look myself in the mirror and know that I've done everything I possibly could to have an impact on this election cycle.
And folks like you are a big part of the reason why I'll feel confident.
Because you stood with me, we've endorsed 122 candidates so far this year. We've supported US senators and local secretaries of state. We've stood by Democratic governors, state legislators, and candidates up and down the ballot.
And together, we've helped organizations like Let America Vote make it easier for folks to cast a ballot. We've supported the folks at Run for Something, who are helping to propel a new generation of progressive leadership into office.
Because of you, I've been able to hit the trail — talking to voters in dozens and dozens of cities in over 20 states. I've literally gone from Hartford to Hammond to Helena.
Because you've invested in this mission, because you've been there to lend your courage and your light, we've been able to accomplish more in this one year than I ever thought possible.
So before we officially hit November, can I ask you to chip in one more time?
Thank you for being part of this effort with me. Together we can make a real difference on Tuesday.
