Donald Trump has repeatedly called for me to be arrested for a variety of imagined offenses, including treason. All because I've stood up to him — as the manager of his first impeachment, on the January 6th Committee, and as a U.S. Senator.

And like his attacks on universities, law firms, private companies, media organizations — you name it — he wants to try to silence any opposition or independent thought.

President Trump is hoping that threats of political retribution will intimidate those who have been brave enough to oppose him, but his attacks won't stop me. I will continue to fight against him and his MAGA cronies to preserve our freedom and democracy.

I'm not backing down because I believe in the idea of America. Because I believe that we are capable of standing for freedom — not just at home but abroad. Because I believe that, at our core, we are a nation that takes care of its most vulnerable — not cuts their health care.

I'm not alone in fighting back — the DNC isn't giving up either.

They're investing millions of dollars in local organizing and state parties. They're taking on the Trump administration in court. They are doing the work to elect Democrats up and down the ballot who can act as a check on Trump's power.

The DNC and I are fighting back because we think this fight is worth it. We're fighting back because we know that — even though it won't be easy — this is a fight that we can win together. To do that, though, we need you to fight back too.
