IT’S OFFICIAL: Emily, Jon Ossoff will face far-right extremist Mike Collins in the fight to defend our Georgia Senate seat. Mike Collins is a cruel man. His record makes it clear that he’ll be just another rubber stamp for Trump in the Senate: He implied support for the mass killing of undocumented immigrants, shared an antisemitic post on Twitter, cosponsored a bill intended to lay the groundwork for a national abortion ban, and has been investigated by the House Ethics Committee for using taxpayer dollars to inappropriately pay an employee that his Chief of Staff had a personal relationship with. And despite (or perhaps because of) all of this, the GOP and their billionaire allies are throwing their full weight behind him. They’re preparing to dump hundreds of millions of dollars into this race to elect this nutcase and keep the Senate in Trump’s hands. Much like JD himself, we found his latest release to be meaningless and void of soul. Unsurprisingly, the Vice President used his very first cable hit promoting his book to clean up after his boss’s mess of the week… Which feels like a poetic foreshadowing of what a 2028 run would look like for this professional coattail-rider. We could go on poking fun — and we’re sure there’s nothing Vance would like more than for Democrats and political pundits to bicker over the details and prolong his press coverage — but honestly, Emily? Emily, Last weekend, Donald Trump threw himself a birthday party on the White House lawn. The cost? $60 million — provided by UFC and federal agencies. While Americans struggle to afford gas and groceries, the president spent the last few months planning an elaborate, expensive birthday celebration — complete with dirt bikes, UFC matches, and a fireworks display at 1:20 AM on Monday morning. Trump knows that this makes him look blatantly out of touch. He just doesn’t care. He’s admitted that he doesn’t think about Americans’ financial situations. Here’s the thing: This pattern of the ultra-wealthy lighting millions of dollars on fire to appease Trump doesn’t just apply to this ridiculous birthday celebration.
