My job is to keep our grassroots supporters like yourself informed and ready to take action in their communities. This involves knocking on doors during special elections, calling your representatives to hold them accountable, and sharing Democratic wins with your network. DNC Chair Ken Martin recently launched a new Organizing Everywhere strategy to get the DNC out of D.C. and into the backyards of Americans across the country. The goal is to elect Democrats to all levels of office, everywhere. My job is to execute that vision. We're working day-in and day-out to keep our volunteers engaged through town halls, informed with online trainings, and ready to go out into their communities to help get Democrats elected. Organizing is — and always has been — at the heart of the Democratic Party's strength. It's how we move progress forward, even in the face of deep challenges. To do this, we need the resources to organize early, organize always, and organize everywhere. Every day that passes, Republicans are getting closer and closer to passing a bill that will cut Medicaid, food assistance programs, veterans' health care and housing and so much more all to give more money to people in this country who already have it all. It is nothing short of some of the wealthiest and most powerful people in this country taking away from people who are struggling just to get by. We're sorry to put that thought into your head — but it is what is on the brink of happening. The good news — the glimmer of hope — is that there are cracks in the Republican Party. There are Republican elected officials who feel the pressure from ads, town halls, and organizing happening in their districts that their re-election is in jeopardy if they vote for these cuts.
