| Emily, It's been 54 hours since Trump was sworn in as our 47th president. In that time, he's signed a slew of executive orders attempting to end birthright citizenship, pardoning nearly all of the rioters charged with storming the Capitol on January 6, rescinding President Biden's executive order to lower prescription drug costs for Americans on Medicare and Medicaid, and more. Unfortunately, this is just the beginning. But in those 54 hours, something else happened, too. Thousands of Democrats began pitching in to help us build the strongest possible Party — people like Jerome in Virginia, Laura in Indiana, John in North Carolina, Katrina in Florida, and thousands of others all over the country. Democrats are stepping up because they know this moment requires a Party that can not only lead the way in organizing against Trump and his allies' disastrous plans, but build long-term infrastructure to elect Democrats at every level — leaders ready to check Trump's power. Now, we have 286 days until bellwether elections in Virginia and New Jersey. We know that may seem far away, but the truth is that the more we can do now, while Trump's term is just beginning, the more effective we can be with our investments in state parties, as well as in organizing against Trump's worst policies, and ultimately in winning back Congress in 2026 and the White House in 2028. So we're asking: Can you join your fellow Democrats and chip in $3 to our 100-Day Fight Fund? If you've stored your info with ActBlue, we'll process your contribution instantly.

Trump’s January 6th pardonsIn one of his first acts as president, Donald Trump pardoned nearly 1,500 people who stormed the U.S. Capitol and tried to overturn the 2020 election. They sought to overturn the will of the people. A number of those pardoned violently assaulted police officers that day. One of the people he pardoned was the former head of the Proud Boys and another the head of the Oath Keepers, two far-right militias with histories of political violence. They also make it clear as day that it has never been more important that we have a strong Democratic Party that will stand up to President Trump, believes in the rule of law and democracy, and the infrastructure that is capable of flipping one or both branches of Congress in the next election. Now, we know you may not have woken up this morning and thought today is the day you are going to make a contribution to the Democratic National Committee -- but that is what we are asking you to do. Especially today. If you've stored your info with ActBlue, we'll process your contribution instantly:
