Since Trump's inauguration, I've been calling out what's happening: He and his allies are trying to hand over the government to the billionaires and destroy the rule of law.

Now, I'm taking that message — and this fight — on the road.

It's clear that people are demanding leadership, answers, and direction in this moment. But Republicans are refusing to listen to the people who elected them.

So a few weeks ago, I held a town hall in Michigan's 10th District, where the incumbent Republican is hiding from constituents. Even better, my friend Rep. Maxwell Frost joined me. There wasn't an empty seat in the room.

In the last few days, I've held two more standing room only town halls in Republican-held districts in North Carolina and Missouri.

Showing up and mobilizing people is how we win. This is how we fight back against the corruption, the destruction of our democracy, and Trump and Musk's illegal power grabs.

We go everywhere. Take this debate to every corner of the nation — especially where Republicans are hiding from the people. We put pressure on them in their own backyard.

If a Republican refuses to talk to their constituents, then I want to hear about it. We'll show up and host our own event in your community. Over the coming weeks and months, I'll be organizing myself and some of my colleagues to do just that.

But we're going to need your support, because taking on the billionaire and corporate class requires significant resources.

Here's where we're at:

FIRST: We explained that Donald Trump and the Republican Party were working to pass tax cuts for billionaires paid for by slashing programs working people need to survive.

THEN: We told you that he was threatening the Democratic Party's ability to fund campaigns to fight back against his agenda and win elections.

NOW: We're truly in an all-hands-on-deck situation. The response to these fundraising emails hasn't been what we hoped for lately and we need everyone who cares about stopping Trump to contribute today.

Emily: Can Kamala Harris count on you to contribute to the Democratic National Committee before their official FEC fundraising deadline ends tomorrow at midnight? The amount isn't as important as the number of donations because it all adds up.

We’re doing something unlike anything Democrats have done in modern times

I'll do my best to keep this brief: I'm reaching out with an exciting update on our work here at the DNC.

Just the other day, we announced a historic agreement to send $1 million every month into our Democratic state parties. That means your local Democratic party — where you live — is going to start getting new resources to win races that affect your life.

This is a huge deal.

Here's how it will work:

Each state party will now receive a baseline of $17,500 a month, a $5,000 per month increase over the last agreement.
Republican-controlled states will receive an additional investment of $5,000 a month through the DNC's Red State Fund, putting their total at $22,500 every month.
The combined investments total a monthly transfer of more than $1 million from the DNC to state parties — the committee's largest investment into Democratic state parties in history.

This is an investment unlike anything Democrats have done in modern times. Elections are won in states — and that's exactly where we'll be investing our resources.

When I ran for DNC chair, I said two things over and over.

First, we have to get the DNC out of D.C. We don't win races in Washington. We win them by pounding pavement, building relationships with voters, and showing folks that we're on their side.

Second, we have to organize everywhere — because when we organize everywhere, we compete everywhere, which means we can win anywhere. Our latest investment is how we start turning that philosophy into reality. We're putting our money where our mouth is to equip state parties with what they need to reach voters, build long-term success all across the ballot, and gain electoral ground for years to come.

So when you get messages like this one asking you for $5 or $10, that's how your donation will be put to work: Investing in state parties all over the country, and helping elect Democrats to as many offices as we can — this year, next year, and beyond.
