It's been just over a week since our special elections in Wisconsin and Florida, and now, it's time to look ahead to what's next.

Two major elections are happening in Virginia and New Jersey in just a few months.

These elections are an opportunity to weaken Republicans' power and elect Democrats who will stand as our last line of defense against Trump in their states and districts.

It may seem early, but supporting the Virginia and New Jersey Democratic state parties now is critical to building robust voter protection programs, scaling our on-the-ground organizing efforts, and reaching undecided voters in the coming months, well before Election Day.

As you can imagine, work like this takes a lot of resources, and state parties need to start building them now. Last week, we saw what happens when Democrats organize everywhere and get involved early. That's a formula we'll need to repeat to help elect Democrats in Virginia, New Jersey, and beyond this year.

DNC Announces New War Room Operation to Take on Trump Administration

The DNC recently announced the launch of a new War Room to expand and streamline the DNC's communications, research, and mobilization operations.

The War Room will incorporate four main pillars: expanding Democrats' reach into new information spaces, modernizing the rapid response operation to drive aggressive daily messaging to counter the Trump Administration, leveraging creative opposition tactics and an expansive research operation, and launching a modernized misinformation counterprogramming vertical to combat the lies from the right.

With the launch of a new War Room, the DNC will integrate the communications, research, and mobilization departments to drive a cohesive daily message against the Trump Administration and Republicans up and down the ballot, targeting messaging to Americans across information spaces and combating misinformation from the right. The effort will include:

At the grassroots level
In the influencer ecosystem
Within conservative and mixed media spaces
Daily rapid response
Combatting misinformation and lies
Putting Republicans on defense
