Americans did not elect Elon Musk. But every day, he and DOGE wreak havoc on our government — and the rest of us will pay the price.

In just a few months, Musk has gutted multiple federal agencies, laying off thousands of employees and putting the sensitive information of millions of people at risk. Musk has targeted agencies like the Internal Revenue Service, Social Security, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, and others.

Agencies like the CFPB protect consumers. The IRS and Social Security hold sensitive taxpayer data and pay out millions of dollars to Americans every month — money that Americans rely on to live.

And the agencies he is targeting are not a coincidence. Many of them have been involved in investigations into Musk and his businesses.

It's clear Elon Musk is more worried about protecting his own interests than the interests of the American people. And Trump is letting him get away with it.

What's happening right now is extraordinarily dangerous. And the consequences of crippling these agencies and allowing Musk unchecked control could be disastrous.

Last month, Trump signed an executive order to impose radical changes on how Americans register to vote, cast a ballot, and participate in our democracy. All of which threaten to disenfranchise lawful voters, and none of which is legal.

It makes it harder for married women who've changed their names to register to vote, and attacks states that lawfully allow mail ballots cast by election day to count. If states don't comply, they could lose federal funding.

And somehow, as we've come to expect from this administration, it gets even worse. The executive order also gives DOGE access to the data of millions of voters, sensitive personal information handed over to Elon Musk, an unelected billionaire.

The threat is real. After floating a third term, Trump and Musk are taking steps to undermine our elections. That's why we filed a lawsuit to stop them.
