Unlike the conflicting messages coming out of Donald Trump’s White House, my plan to combat COVID-19 is very clear and guided by science.
We need a public health response that includes available free testing, the elimination of cost barriers to treatment, the development of a vaccine that will be available for free, and the full deployment and operation of necessary supplies, personnel, and facilities.
And we also need a robust economic response, including emergency paid leave. We need to provide every resource at our disposal to the workers, families, and small businesses who are going to be hit hard by this crisis.
