Here's what's happening in North Carolina:   | Emily, North Carolina Republicans are attempting to overthrow an election decided by voters more than two months ago. Despite multiple recounts confirming that Justice Allison Riggs won her November election to the North Carolina Supreme Court, her Republican opponent and state and national Republicans have filed repeated, baseless legal actions in an attempt to throw out 60,000 lawfully cast ballots and overthrow a free and fair election. Today, the Democratic National Committee announced legal action to block this attempt. The DNC is intervening to protect the rights of North Carolina voters and ensure that they — not right-wing courts — get to decide who their elected officials are.
