I made a big decision recently, and I wanted you to know about it.

Good morning, Emily.

I made a big decision recently, and I wanted you to know about it.

After much thought about my next steps to boost Democrats in the midterm elections, I decided to return to North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, and Arkansas next month to continue building our power in the South.

This is what I am doing next with Fight for the People PAC. I am going to travel, speak out, and help elect Democrats everywhere.

What was tough about the decision was that we announced this trip so close to an FEC fundraising deadline, when exactly how much Fight for the People PAC has raised to achieve that mission will be made public.

For better or worse, lots of people will be looking to see what we file. There will be people hoping to see you're still with me — and there will be people hoping we fall flat.

That's why I am reaching out with an urgent request before this FEC fundraising deadline in just a few days. Every donation sends an important message, and it also allows me to keep fighting for YOU and families like yours during the midterm elections.

So I am asking:

Can you please make a contribution to my PAC — Fight for the People — today? Our average online donation is around $30. Many give more. Some give less. No amount is too small — it will all add up fast when so many people are chipping in.

As the DNC's Executive Director, it's my job to guide our party's long-term strategy.

So, as we look ahead to the midterms, here's a quick update for you:

Democrats need to flip four Republican seats to take control of the Senate this November. That means winning races in states like Texas, North Carolina, Ohio, and Alaska. To take back the House, we need to hold the seats we have and flip at least three more.

This operation is going to take a massive amount of resources. Trust me, our team is crunching the numbers every day.

But we also know how to win tough races. That's why at the DNC, we're making unprecedented investments in voter registration and state parties. And we're working to reach voters who may have sat out previous elections.

We're doing everything we can to make sure we take back Congress — but to make sure we're on track to win, we have to meet our end-of-quarter fundraising goal. Unfortunately, we're not quite there yet.

So, Emily, I'm personally asking: Can you rush a $7 donation to the DNC today to help us meet our critical $500,000 goal before March 31? Your contribution will help ensure that Democrats in key races have the resources they need to win this November.
