The man is afraid

Last week, Donald Trump banned several members of the press from entering the White House, barring them from their First Amendment right to report on the president.

Why? Because he did not like their coverage.

It is absolutely abhorrent, Emily.

The man is afraid. He is afraid of the voice of the people. He is afraid that he is going to lose the midterms. He is afraid that people understand he is trying to distract from his corruption and failure to bring down costs.

So he is trying to stifle the ability of journalists to let the American people know what their government is really doing.

The courts have taken the correct stance in temporarily blocking this ban, but it is also important for you to realize that Trump will not stop here.

He and his enablers in the Republican Party are doing everything they can to steal power from the American people and maintain their authority: through media bans, early redistricting, restricting vote-by-mail, blatantly lying about $5,000 payouts, and more.

Their politically motivated power grabs are meant to protect Trump and Republicans from any consequences for their war in Iran and their failure to make groceries, gas, health care, or housing more affordable for you and your family.

So we have to come out in numbers too big to rig this November and stop them, Emily.

In 2024, millions of people donated to my campaign. We banded together when the country needed us most, and I know we need to continue to fight for the people today.

So as I travel the country to campaign for Democrats in the midterms, I am again asking:
