We got some bad news last week from the FEC filings, and I wanted to spell out what this means for the race.

Musk spent big in 2024, and we saw a red wave that put Trump back in the White House. We’re already being outspent and out-advertised. I’m worried it could get worse. And the thing about Elon is he has virtually unlimited money. He could spend like 0.5% of his net worth, and it would change this whole race. So, look, I know folks like us can’t donate millions of dollars like they can. We don’t have to. Because if something like 1-in-4 of the people reading this email decide, “You know what? I can step up and give $20,” we will be able to raise enough to counter their attacks and spread our good word to the voters of Michigan. I'm not telling you this to scare you. We can get outspent and still win. But we can't get outspent by any number and still win. If Elon buys every ad break between now and November, most Michiganders will only ever hear his version of me. They won’t hear our message.
