REMEMBERING THE THIRD ANNIVERSARY OF JANUARY 6: President Biden delivered a powerful speech near Valley Forge on the eve of the third anniversary of January 6 to remember a day forever embedded in the minds of Americans -- because it was a day that we nearly lost the sacred promise of democracy. Insurrectionists had come to try to stop the peaceful transfer of power in America for the first time in our history -- smashing windows, shattering doors, attacking the police. But the will of the people and the ability of Americans to act together and decently with one another prevailed -- a will that Joe and Kamala have always believed in. President Biden and Vice President Harris are committed to defending the truth and honoring the sacred cause of democracy. They will continue to fight for an America that believes in decency, dignity, honesty, honor, and truth.

BUILDING ON STRONG JOB CREATION IN THE NEW YEAR: Last week, the Biden-Harris administration released the December Jobs Report, which showed that the economy created 2.7 million new jobs in 2023 -- more jobs than during any year of the prior administration -- for a total of 14.3 million jobs created under President Biden. The strong job creation continued as inflation fell to the pre-pandemic level of 2 percent over the last six months, and key prices have fallen over the last year -- for a gallon of gas, a gallon of milk, toys, appliances, car rentals, and airline fares. American workers' wages and wealth are higher now than before the pandemic began, adjusting for inflation. Joe and Kamala know there is more work to do and won't stop fighting for American workers and will keep working to lower costs for families across the country.

ICYMI: PRESIDENT BIDEN'S VISIT TO MOTHER EMANUEL AME: President Biden visited Charleston, South Carolina this week to meet with local faith leaders at Mother Emanuel AME Church and discuss the stakes of our democracy in the 2024 election. Joe and Kamala will continue to lead the country with faith and determination for the future.
