ADVANCING PAY EQUITY ON THE 15TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE LILLY LEDBETTER FAIR PAY ACT: Since the beginning of this administration, President Biden and Vice President Harris have championed equal pay as a cornerstone of their commitment to ensuring opportunity and fairness for all workers. They know that closing gender and racial wage gaps is essential to ensuring that women and people of color can fully participate in the labor force. Despite the progress they have made, the fight for equal pay continues. That's why this week, President Biden took executive action to implement two executive orders aimed at advancing pay equity for both the federal workforce and employees of federal contractors, in addition to the numerous actions he's already taken to close wage gaps and strengthen women's economic security – including ensuring women have access to the good-paying jobs being created by the President's Investing in America agenda, increasing access to affordable care and supporting caregivers, improving access to child care for the semiconductor workforce, and more. The Biden-Harris Administration is committed to making the federal government a model employer and closing persistent wage gaps to help grow and strengthen our economy.

PRESIDENT BIDEN ANNOUNCES NEARLY $5 BILLION FOR TRANSPORTATION PROJECTS NATIONWIDE: Last week, President Biden announced nearly $5 billion in funding for major transportation projects across the country. A key pillar of Bidenomics is making long overdue investments in infrastructure, unleashing a clean energy and manufacturing boom, and creating good-paying jobs, many of which do not require a college degree. To date, the Biden-Harris administration has announced over $400 billion in Bipartisan Infrastructure Law funding for over 40,000 infrastructure projects across the nation, and has mobilized over $640 billion in private sector manufacturing and clean energy investments in the United States. Since Joe and Kamala took office, over 670,000 construction jobs and 210,000 clean energy jobs have been created in communities across the country. President Biden and Vice President Harris have emphasized the importance of investing in America since day one, and they will continue to ensure that infrastructure across the country is revitalized and rebuilt better than ever before.
