ON THE GROUND: CELEBRATING ONE YEAR OF JOE AND KAMALA'S REELECTION CAMPAIGN: Last week, we celebrated one year since launching this reelection campaign. We've been growing our operation, hiring staff and recruiting volunteers, and organizing all across the country -- and we've been able to do it because of generous supporters like you. To show our gratitude, President Biden, along with our campaign staff, called some of our grassroots donors to thank them for their support. We asked folks why they're on this team and what this election means to them. In response, we heard everything from protecting Social Security and Medicare to defending reproductive freedom. Most importantly, people of all ages told us that Joe and Kamala were the only leaders they could trust to guide our country toward progress -- and that there is no alternative. The future of our country is at stake in this election, and we couldn't be more grateful for those of you who have been with us from the start. STRENGTHENING THE ELECTRIC GRID AND BOOSTING MANUFACTURING JOBS: Since Day One, President Biden has led and delivered on the most ambitious climate and environmental justice agenda in history, including securing the largest-ever climate investment. Because of the president's investments, the power sector now has more tools than ever to reduce pollution and upgrade the grid to support more factories, electric vehicles, and other growing sources of electricity demand. Last week, the Biden-Harris administration announced a new set of energy standards that will cut greenhouse gas emissions as well as toxic air pollution, water pollution, and land contamination from fossil fuel power plants. And President Biden is revitalizing U.S. manufacturing and securing clean energy supply chains -- all to create good-paying jobs, tackle the climate crisis, and advance environmental justice. The Biden-Harris Administration will continue fighting to deliver clean electricity to more homes and businesses, lower energy costs for American families, and power the U.S. clean energy manufacturing boom.

PROTECTING CONSUMERS FROM SURPRISE JUNK FEES IN AIR TRAVEL: Building on a historic record of cracking down on corporations who rip off working families, President Biden announced new rules to require airlines to promptly provide passengers with automatic cash refunds when their flights are canceled or significantly changed, their checked bags are significantly delayed, or services that they purchased, like Wi-Fi, are not provided. The Biden-Harris administration is also requiring airlines and ticket agents to tell consumers upfront what fees they charge for checked bags, a carry-on bag, for changing a reservation, or canceling a reservation. These rules will save working families over half a billion dollars every year in airline fees. Joe and Kamala will continue fighting to crack down on corporate rip-offs.
