Emily, This month, we've seen what Trump is willing to do to ensure that his ego remains intact. From threatening to pull the licenses of news outlets that speak negatively about his actions to using officials in his circle to go after and censor his political opponents, Trump's abuse of power is unlike anything we've ever seen before in American history. Historically, in times of unrest, a president would move to unify us as a country, but Trump has continuously sought to divide us further by using harmful speech about how he "hates his opponents" and "doesn't want what's best for them". Division is their strategy — unity is our power. In the face of all of this, people across the country have been pushing back, voting with their wallets, and boycotting companies that bend the knee to Trump — and it's working. In the face of Trump's attacks on the First Amendment, we've seen an outpouring of support from Democrats across the country. Take a look: Each dot on this map represents someone pitching in to support the DNC's work to organize and invest in electing Democrats up and down the ballot — in red, blue, and purple states. The DNC is the organization best positioned to move our resources toward the places that need them most. Right now, we're laser-focused on states like Pennsylvania, Virginia, and New Jersey, where Election Day is rapidly approaching.
