A personal introduction

I wanted to take a moment to personally introduce myself

In a moment I’m going to ask you to share some of your thoughts with me, but first, I’d love to tell you a bit about myself! I grew up in Buffalo, New York, I’m a cat mom, and my favorite ice cream flavor is mint chocolate chip. Marj loves a good selfie! But the real reason I’m popping into your inbox is because, like you, I know how important it is that Democrats take back Congress this November so we can hold the Trump administration accountable, and stop them from doing any more damage for the next two years. I’m grateful to have you on this team with me, Emily, because going up against this administration will not be an easy feat. Part of my job is to make sure that our grassroots supporters are being heard. Because we know that winning wouldn’t be possible without your input. So if you have a few minutes, I’d love to get some of your thoughts to share with the team here. SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS WITH EMILY Everyone on this team has a unique story that led them to join this grassroots movement. Maybe you’ve had trouble with our health care system. Maybe your family has been able to get back on their feet because of the help they’ve received from programs like SNAP or Medicaid. Maybe you’ve faced discrimination because of your gender, your race, or another identity. No matter how or why you’re here, I’m proud to stand with you, because I know you care about expanding access to basic needs, protecting our most vulnerable communities, and defending the rights and freedoms of our democracy. I’m not going to lie, it’s been hard to watch what’s happened across our country since Trump’s second term started — and we’re not even two years in. But it’s also been incredibly inspiring to see communities across the country stand together and fight back against this administration. It’s the people like you, Emily — who get involved with their communities, who donate their time or money to electing Democrats, who push us to do more and do better — who help us win elections. So I’m asking you to get involved by sharing some of your honest feedback with me, today. This team’s input is a big part of how we win in November, so I’m counting on at least 250 Democrats from Virginia to submit their response by midnight.
