Emily, I'm reaching out today to extend warm wishes and say happy Easter to all who celebrate, and to share my thoughts on what this holiday means to me. I was raised Catholic and still remain Catholic today, and my faith has guided me throughout my life. It is, in part, what has called me to public service. As the chair of the DNC, I bring the principle of standing with our most vulnerable people and communities to my work every day. Today, Christians across the country and the world reflect on and celebrate the Resurrection. To me, it's important that the values we share with each other this weekend — joy, hope, and unwavering faith in humanity — inform how we live our lives. We must remember to love our neighbors and to care for the least of us, regardless of who they are, especially right now. We have seen how easily hate can take hold in this country. But I believe that love and community will always win in the end. The DNC is committed to our mission — to work every day to ensure that hope and justice are at the center of our work, and to stand against hate. I hope everyone reading this email, regardless of your faith, is able to take a moment to reflect on what this fight means to them, and how we can best center love, hope, and resilience in our lives every day. May this Easter bring joy and blessings to you and your community, Ken Ken Martin If you gave recently via check or mail, our system may not have yet processed your gift. We are appreciative and thank you greatly for your support. Text JOIN to 43367 Manage how often you receive DNC emails by filling out this form.
