Emily,

In a moment, I’m going to tell you about the DNC’s proposal to have South Carolina, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, Michigan, and Virginia be the first six states to vote in the 2028 Democratic presidential primaries.

But first, I want to give you the opportunity to become a Founding Donor of our Project 2028 Fund to help us kick off the race for the White House and Congress in the strongest possible standing.

Here’s a good link: https://secure.actblue.com/donate/em-dnc-project2028fund-jul2026

These six early states represent the most diverse and comprehensive open-field primary process we’ve ever undertaken as a Party. This new calendar will ensure that Democratic candidates are evaluated early by the voters who are key to winning the general election.

Our number one priority throughout this process is to ensure that the voters who are the backbone of this Party have a say: So we’ve deliberately selected states to more than double the representation of Black, Latino, AANHPI, and Native American voters in the early primary electorate compared to 2020.

Additionally, the selection of these six states more than doubles the representation of non-college voters, young voters, union workers, and veteran or active-duty military voters.

These voters are the foundation of our Party and the future of this country. We cannot win a general election without them. For too long, our primary process did not capture the full picture of the Democratic Party — and we’ve lost ground with these groups. Now, we’re making sure their voices will be heard.

Emily, we can’t afford to select a presidential candidate who isn’t up to the challenge of taking on whatever MAGA whackjob the Republican Party chooses. Now more than ever, we need a rigorous, holistic primary process.

And once we have a candidate, we have to be ready to throw the full weight of the Democratic Party behind them. We need to build a massive war chest, build the organizing infrastructure, and recruit a team of experts ready to do whatever it takes.

That’s why I’m asking you to be a founding member of our Project 2028 Fight Fund: To make sure our 2028 nominee has all of the resources that they need to win on day one. And we need to start right now to be successful.

If you've stored your info with ActBlue, we'll process your contribution instantly.

Thank you for being in this fight with us,

Ken

If you gave recently via check or mail, our system may not have yet processed your gift. We are appreciative and thank you greatly for your support.

Emily, we’re building the largest midterm operation in DNC history to take back control of Congress this November, but we need your help right now.

Your donation today will help fund our work to register new Democrats in battleground states, organize everywhere, and win everywhere.
