As of this morning, we are officially 4 days away from the most consequential midterm election of our lifetimes. I know there can be a lot of noise during big moments like this, but we can’t afford to get distracted right now. So here’s what I’ll be paying attention to during the next 4 days: Early voting: In some states, early in-person voting might be ending this weekend so officials can prepare for polling places to open on Election Day. And in other states, voters are still heading to the polls early or mailing in their ballots. As of right now, more than 32 million Americans have cast their ballots in person or by mail. But there’s still time to reach more Democratic voters to make sure they have a plan to vote on or before November 3 — we don’t plan to let a single voter slip through the cracks if we can help it. Voter turnout: Our network of organizers and volunteers across key battlegrounds have already knocked more than 3.3 million doors and made more than 7.8 million calls to make sure that every last Democrat is able to cast their ballot this year. Lots of races could come down to just a handful of votes, so it’s more important than ever that we turn out every voter we can and make sure they have all the information they need to get out and vote. Voter protection: Our team is building an army of volunteers who will ensure that Democrats can meet any threats to voting rights thrown our way head on. These volunteers will act as poll observers and make sure that the letter of the law is being followed at polling locations across the country. If you’d like to volunteer, please sign up here.
